Step 1: Log In and Start a New Form
Log in to the web app at app.tryprojectblue.com.
Start a new inbound lead form from scratch.
Choose your form type:
One-step form
Two-step form
This guide walks through the one-step form, but the same customization options apply to the two-step version.
Step 2: Customize the Form Fields
The form comes with standard fields you can toggle on or off, including:
Name
Email
Phone number
Any additional fields you'd like to add
Custom fields from GoHighLevel: If your GoHighLevel account is already connected, any custom fields you've set up there will also be available to add to the form.
Step 3: Customize the Look and Content
You can customize:
The title that appears on the form
The pre-filled message the lead's messaging app will show
The button name (e.g., "Send Us a Message")
The color of the form
Step 4: Select the Line
Choose which Project Blue line the lead's message will be sent to once they submit the form.
Step 5: Grab the Embed Code
Once your form is set up the way you want, use the provided embed code to add it to your website or funnel.
What the Lead Experience Looks Like
Here's what happens when someone fills out and submits the form:
The lead fills out the form fields (name, email, phone number, etc.).
They click the button (e.g., "Send Us a Message").
Their phone's messaging app opens automatically with a pre-filled message ready to send.
They tap send, and the message goes to your selected Project Blue line, along with their contact card.
This means the lead's first action is texting you, not the other way around, so the conversation starts as an inbound message rather than a cold outbound one.
Two-Step Forms
If you'd rather split the form fields across two steps instead of one, you can select the two-step form option when creating your form. It supports the same field customization, styling, and embed code options as the one-step version.
